Mike, when you said "America was the Saudi Arabia of the era" (World War II), maybe you didn't realize that America is the Saudi Arabia of our era, too! U.S. oil production has soared since the pandemic and has reached an all-time record high, even surpassing Saudi Arabia. As a result, oil is currently selling for about one-third its inflation-adjusted peak price in 2008.
