Just an advance warning that I'll be away for a few days next week due to a family emergency. Family tragedy is more accurate. I'll leave links to some gems from the past to keep you occupied while I'm away, and I humbly ask your forbearance.
One of the problems of blogs is that they can't stop. When this type of website was more popular—they went from cutting edge to old fashioned in 20 years—I could be away for a week and it wouldn't affect traffic even during the time I was gone. Now, if I went silent for a week it would be at my great peril; my numbers would take a permanent hit. In AA they call that "life on life's terms" (i.e., that's the way it is), and the proper stance toward it "acceptance" (it is what it is).

Today Subscription Newsletters are where the money is being made. You may have heard of Substack, but there also opensource alternatives.
Unlike a blog, a newsletter can be a single article a wheek. Sorta like a weekly column in a newspaper.

"it is what it is" definition - You're screwed and you shall remain screwed. From St. Vincent movie with Bill Murray. Made me laugh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dKzz1lsETE
