Taran Morgan's Delray—a shot from his blog—looks a little too "digital" for my own taste, but it also conveys, more effectively than most, a sense of the menace and the chaos of rising weather. And it looks like a reaction to reality, rather than a standard "stormy seas" picture copied conceptually from other stormy seas pictures. It made me think of the recent storm in the East.
Taran's cousin, Windsor Morgan, is also a photographer.

A bit "Turner-esque" perhaps?
In all seriousness (it's hard to tell in this size) what makes a shot like this look "digital"?

Mike!
I could not agree more. I had a fabulous printer who would change my prints inevitably in some way I did not like and present me with the finished product. While I appreciated his printing skills, I finally just stopped giving him work.
It was, in a word, frustrating and exasperating (Ok. 2 words).

Hi,
This is the digital Turner, right?
