You've got to see this. Made me laugh. Clue for you: no Photoshop.
Previously, my all-time "best costume" award went to an actor in D.C. who dressed as a guy in the wind—he shellacked his hair as if it were being blown back and put wires in his tie to make it look like it was being blown out behind him, and then on request he'd do a perfect "wind in the face" expression. It was great.
This one's in that inspired category. The costume is by BrodyQat, who comments in the thread at the link.

Have you seen this costume? I thought you would get a kick out of it. This girl went as "low-resolution."

If this photo was truly un-masked/un-altered by Photoshop, then the person's skin and hair would be their natural color, and not grayscale. Alas, that doesn't seem to be the case .... It's still a great concept, though.

This seems to have been a fad this past Christmas season. Exactly such a parade of Santas marched through downtown Chicago one Saturday afternoon last November.

It's an utterly inspired costume idea.

Jeff,
Wrong-O! "Nope, no masking... It was full-on custom Santa suit and wig and body paint," says BrodyQat, the woman in the costume.
In fact, you can see a slight bit of skin color...on her neck, where the collar rubbed away a bit of the body paint unintentionally.

If you go to BrodyQat's Flickr pages, you'll find an appropriate photo for any doubters!

It reminds me - in an elliptical way - of a Chinese joke my wife tells, about a giant panda who saves up the money to have his photo taken... and swears that next time he'll make sure they do it in colour.

Waaaay back when I was in college, my date went as a brick (big red box with 3 holes). I, in my overalls and trowel, as the brick-layer. Alas, no photos survived. Nor did the relationship.

That was simply excellent. It looks like a Painting.
