I'm not even close to finished dealing with all the car comments, and I've gotten so many private emails that I won't be able to respond to them all individually...but thanks to everyone! That post really did cheer me up. :-)
But here's a P.S. to the recent framing posts...remember how I said I never use anything but white mats? Well, look what Carl Blesch did...
Carl writes, "I have matted my TOP print purchases from Ctein and Charles Cramer with the 'conventional wisdom' white mats. But for my first TOP print purchase, your 'Wisconsin #7,' I tried something different. I love how the gray and deep red double mats work with your photo."
Looks pretty good, doesn't it? I feel complimented. (That same scene was lovely this morning at dawn, with fog and a blanket of new-fallen snow. I almost got the camera out.)
Goes to show: all advice is only a suggestion.

Bárbara: "Great shot and while I generally agree about the white matting this looks really great! Oh how the world is so filled with 'exceptions to every rule!' That's one of the things that I really love about your blog—you aren't shy to state your own views and are open enough to share other point of view as well. Very refreshing."
Mike replies: Thanks! I do try hard to do that.
