Well, god fortsättning, to continue with my mother tongue.

Thanks Mike, all the Best to you and your family in 2012.

John,
Wouldn't that be "youse"?

:-)

Mike

あけましておめでとう。(Japanese, "Akemashite Omedetou")

I am surprise I see no French so far... Bonne année!!

Buon anno e auguri.

Je te souhaite une Bonne année Mike,
à toi et à ceux que tu aimes. ( In french but you knew that)

"Bonne et Heureuse Année"... (in French)

Happy New Year! As a native of the emerald isle I'd offer up Gaelic but I don't know any beyond a few choice utterances which would likely get me into a bar brawl.

Top tip: if wishing someone "Happy New Year" in Spanish, never, EVER forget that there's a tilde over the "n" in "Año". Without it the meaning is *ahem* somewhat different.

Gelukkig Nieuwjaar, Happy New Year in Dutch.

P.S. Thanks for a great blog.

Bonne et heureuse année (French)

Wow!! What a great set of comments!
