One sees less and less of these wonderful, archetypal, NYC characters on its streets, which continue to get mere crowded every year, and yet more homogenized.
I know the Bruce Gilden video comments have been extensive, both pro and con. I'm not bothered by the photographing, though I much prefer his earlier work, Coney Island, etc.
I am bothered by the stobe in the face, from very short range. To me, that is almost assault, no, I think a case could be made that it is assault.
